SCFR are governed by the operational policies of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

We are bound by the Caldicott principles and by the same Data Protection Acts as the rest of the NHS in Scotland, we can therefore not divulge any patient sensitive information . Anything told to the volunteers on active service is confidential, and will only be passed to members of the attending ambulance service , only if required for continuity in patient care. This will be done within the above mentioned protocols.
